Super Silent Manager & Client - Help & FAQ
STEP BY STEP: How to connect to my home computer from my office / or when I am traveling?
If your home computer is using dialup internet or cable / DSL / ISDN:
Follow the Steps:
First of all Install the Super Silent Client on your Home Computer that you want to watch/monitor. You can download it by clicking here.
After Silent Client is installed, make sure you set a password for it and remember that password.
Open the TCP / IP port 13917 on your Home Broad band Internet Router ( e.g. LinkSys, D-Link, Net Gear, Sonic wall, etc)
You should go to the configuration page of your router (usually you can do this by opening the Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1/ ) Once you go to the configuration page, then click on Application / Port Mapping / Forwarding and allow port 13917 to be mapped to the IP address of the computer you want to monitor.
If could you could not make the above step, Please refer the Router/Firewall manual on how to open a port to a computer on your network.
Now Install Super Silent Manager on your Office Computer. Download it from here.
Once Installed, Open Silent Manager (Click on Start Button->All Programs->Super Silent Manager)
Add your Home computer name to the connection profile list. For that you should click on the Add computer Icon and enter the a nick name for your home computer and enter the IP address of your Home Internet Sharing Router. (If you do not know the IP address of the home computer then you can enable IP Remembering service.. Click Here for instructions on how to enable IP address remembering service)
Now Enter the password and click on connect! Once connected you will see the the User name currently logged in the home computer and all the other resources like web cam and microphones connected to it
Now explore and monitor your home computer!!!
